Éthos was conceived with Biasol, an award-winning Melbourne design studio, as a sequence of gentle thresholds: walnut timber floors, caramel mineral-washed plaster, a dark coffered acoustic ceiling, and a sculptural Baccaro-stone reception of glass brick and steel that refracts the light. Deep russet velvet, mid-century furniture and artwork by Phillip Chang complete a 140-square-metre sanctuary — one crafted, in Biasol’s words, “not only to restore, but to transform.”
